These simple savoury almonds are the kind of snack that disappears fast. Made with just three ingredients and ready in around six minutes, they are quick, crunchy, air fryer friendly, and packed with salty, savoury flavour.
Keep them family friendly with our classic Worcester Sauce, or turn up the heat with Habanero or Ghost Pepper Worcester for a spicy little kick. They are brilliant for grazing boards, lunchboxes, road trips, or test rugby season, when we are all nail-biting our way through another All Blacks match.
Serves: 4 | Made in 6 minutes
Ingredients
1 cup raw almonds
2 1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp Worcester Sauce
Method
Mix the dark soy sauce and Worcester Sauce together in a small bowl
Add the almonds to a dry air fryer basket and cook for two minutes at 170°C. Toss, then cook for another two minutes
Check the almonds and toast for a little longer if needed, using 20-second bursts so they do not overcook
Tip the hot almonds straight into the bowl with the sauce and stir quickly. The sauce will steam as it coats the warm almonds and dries onto the surface
Allow to fully cool for crunchy almonds, or enjoy them warm!
